What is sarcomere : -
A Part between two H-lines
B Part between two A-lines
C Part between two I-bands
D Part between two Z-lines

Detailed Solution

A myofibril shows alternate dark (A) bands and light (I) bands. A thin Z-line runs through the middle of each I-band.
The portion of the myofibril between two successive Z-lines is called a sarcomere. It is the functional (contractile) unit of the muscle.
So a sarcomere is the part between two Z-lines.
