Chlorophyll in chloroplasts is located in -
A Grana
B Pyrenoid
C Stroma
D Both grana and stroma

Detailed Solution

Inside the chloroplast there is a system of flattened membranous sacs called thylakoids, arranged in stacks called grana.
The chlorophyll and other photosynthetic pigments, along with the photosystems and the electron transport chain, are located in the thylakoid membranes of the grana (and in the stroma lamellae connecting them).
This is where the light reactions take place.
The stroma is the colourless matrix surrounding the thylakoids; it contains the enzymes of the Calvin cycle, but not chlorophyll.
Pyrenoids are protein bodies associated with starch formation in algal chloroplasts.
So chlorophyll is located in the grana.
