Mycorrhiza is an association between a fungus and the roots of a higher plant (e.g. Glomus with many plants, and fungi with Pinus roots). The fungal hyphae absorb water and minerals, especially phosphorus, from the soil and pass them to the plant; they also protect the roots from pathogens. The plant supplies sugars and other organic compounds to the fungus. Since both partners benefit, it is a mutualistic symbiotic relationship. So mycorrhiza is an example of a symbiotic relationship.
