Myelin sheath is produced by
Schwann cells (PNS) and oligodendrocytes (CNS) form myelin.
Oligodendrocytes are neuroglial cells that produce the myelin sheath in the central nervous system, while Schwann cells produce the myelin sheath in the peripheral nervous system.
