Detailed Solution

Polyembryony is the occurrence of more than one embryo in a seed.
In many $Citrus$ and mango varieties, some of the nucellar cells surrounding the embryo sac start dividing, protrude into the embryo sac and develop into embryos.
As these embryos arise from diploid nucellar cells without fertilisation, this is nucellar (adventive) polyembryony, a form of apomixis; each ovule then contains many embryos.
It is not a feature of $Brassica$ (mustard), $Gossypium$ (cotton) or $Triticum$ (wheat).
Hence nucellar polyembryony is reported in species of $Citrus$.
