Detailed Solution

Norman E. Borlaug developed semi-dwarf, high yielding and disease resistant varieties of wheat at the International Centre for Wheat and Maize Improvement in Mexico.
These varieties were introduced in India and other developing countries in the 1960s, and together with fertilisers and irrigation led to a dramatic increase in food production, called the Green Revolution.
He is called the father of the Green Revolution and received the Nobel Peace Prize in 1970.
In India the Green Revolution was led by M.S. Swaminathan.
The White Revolution relates to milk (Verghese Kurien), the Yellow Revolution to oilseeds and the Blue Revolution to fisheries.
So Norman Borlaug is associated with the Green Revolution.
