Above Curie temperature :-

Above Curie temperature :-
A A ferromagnetic substance becomes paramagnetic
B A paramagnetic substance becomes diamagnetic
C A diamagnetic substance becomes paramagnetic
D A paramagnetic substance becomes ferromagnetic

Detailed Solution

In a ferromagnetic substance the atomic magnetic moments are aligned parallel to one another within small regions called domains.
As the temperature rises, thermal agitation disturbs this alignment.
Above a certain temperature, called the Curie temperature, the domain structure is destroyed completely and the atomic moments become randomly oriented.
The substance then behaves as a paramagnetic substance, with susceptibility $\chi = \dfrac{C}{T - T_C}$.
So above the Curie temperature a ferromagnetic substance becomes paramagnetic.
