The density of a material in CGS system of units is 4 g/$cm^3$. In a system of units in which unit of length is 10 cm and unit of mass is 100 g, the value of density of material will beNew unit of mass = 100 g, so 1 g = $\frac{1}{100}$ new unit of mass.
New unit of length = 10 cm, so 1 cm = $\frac{1}{10}$ new unit of length and 1 $cm^3$ = $\frac{1}{1000}$ new unit of volume.
Density = $4\ \frac{g}{cm^3} = 4\times\frac{1/100}{1/1000}$ new units
$= 4\times\frac{1000}{100} = 4\times10$
= 40 new units
