What is true for cyanobacteria : -Cyanobacteria (blue-green algae) carry out oxygenic photosynthesis like plants: they use water as the electron donor and release oxygen.
Many of them (e.g. Nostoc, Anabaena) also fix atmospheric nitrogen using the enzyme nitrogenase, usually in special cells called heterocysts, which protect nitrogenase from oxygen.
So cyanobacteria are oxygenic with nitrogenase.
