Which one of the following traits of garden pea studied by Mendel was a recessive feature : -Mendel's seven pairs of contrasting characters (dominant / recessive):
Seed shape: round / wrinkled. Seed colour: yellow / green. Flower colour: violet / white. Pod shape: inflated / constricted. Pod colour: green / yellow. Flower position: axial / terminal. Stem height: tall / dwarf.
Axial flower position, green pod colour and round seed shape are dominant traits.
Green seed colour is recessive (yellow seed colour is dominant). Note that green is dominant for pod colour but recessive for seed colour.
So the recessive feature is green seed colour.
